Uproar over Halo 3 missing promised feature (game browser)

One of the biggest complaints with Halo 2 was that you couldn’t look for types of games you were interested in. You could only play the types Bungie created unless you had tons of friends. They promised to remedy that by creating XBL Public, mentioned in various interviews with Bungie employees. A lot of players are very unhappy now.

Orange Box Goes Gold !!

A representative from Valve Software confirmed on Wednesday night that its upcoming releases of The Orange Box for PC and Xbox 360 have gone gold and are on their way for an October 10 release date.

Halo 3 Sells 45,000 in Japan

On its first day of release in Japan, Halo 3 sold 45,000. For perspective, Blue Dragon (which is the highest-sold Xbox 360 title) sold 83,000 in it’s first week. Halo 3 cut into that by more than half in a day.

1up is reporting that in their play-through with MGS4 that the controller shook in separate places. We did enjoy the various rumble effects employed by the new Dual Shock 3 controller, though: As explosions rattled around Snake, we could actually feel the direction from which they were coming based on what part of the controller vibrated.

Nintendo has passed Canon Inc. to become Japan’s second most valuable tradable company, just one spot behind current leader Toyota Motor Corp. Investors are betting that demand for Nintendo’s Wii and DS will remain solid throughout the holiday season.
